According to the Arizona Republic, "Scottsdale's new, upscale retail center known informally as "Kierland Uncommon" now has a proposed site plan and an official name: Scottsdale Crossing."
The new mixed development project is to be built across from the popular Kierland Commons located on the corner of Greenway and Scottsdale Road.
The 28 acre site will feature 1.2 million square feet of office, retail, and residential space, as well as a large central park that would feature public art and activities.
"City-building" is the term used to describe how developers are working together to manage the growth of the Phoenix Metropolitan area through dozens of master planned communities.
Westcor is positioned at the heart of this development, teaming up with joint venture partners for the residential portion of these growth areas.
City North, a mixed-use development to be located in the Desert Ridge area just north of the 101, is headed by Thomas J. Klutznick Co. Related Urban Development. This development will encompass more than 5 million square feet, including 1 million square feet of retail.
